Website

When you request a MathPlay page, the hosting server receives your IP address and the requested page so it can deliver the site and protect the service. The browser site sets no cookies, loads no third-party resources automatically, and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

A dedicated server-side counter log counts GET requests to /, /privacy/, /credits/, and /license/. Each record contains only an ISO-8601 timestamp with timezone, the fixed page path, and the HTTP status. It omits IP addresses, query strings, cookies, referrers, and user-agent strings. The hosting server still receives your IP address to deliver a request; the page-count log does not record it.

Logs rotate daily; compressed copies are removed after at most 14 days. An admin-only local CSV report aggregates page requests by date, path, and status. There is no public dashboard, persistent aggregate export, or unique-visitor count.

A separate technical error log records critical-level messages and is capped at three files of 5 MiB each. Only host administrators can access these diagnostics; the site does not serve them. Their storage cap is size-based, so it does not guarantee a time window.

Links to the app store, the creator’s websites, the source repository, and email work only when you choose them. Those destinations have their own privacy practices.

Privacy Policy

App: MathPlay Last updated: 26 July 2026

MathPlay is a single-player, fully offline educational game for ages 14+ built with Flutter. This policy describes exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

Short version

MathPlay collects nothing, sends nothing, and shares nothing automatically. There is no account, no sign-in, no backend server, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The app works with your device fully offline.

Data we collect

None. MathPlay does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or usage data automatically. No information about you or your device ever leaves the device.

Network access

MathPlay makes no network requests at runtime. The release build ships without the Android INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of sending or receiving data. Everything the app needs - including the Inter and Space Grotesk fonts - is bundled inside the app, so there are no downloads and no content-delivery-network calls.

Data stored on your device

The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device only, in a Hive database that never leaves the device:

  • Agency progress - completed cases, reputation, clues, Casebook deductions, and the active investigation snapshot needed to resume after a kill or relaunch.
  • Settings - theme, language preference, haptics/audio, reduced motion, onboarding, and your locally rendered agent avatar.
  • Optional playtest export - only when explicitly requested, a coded JSON file with case events. It contains no name, account, device identifier, location, or free text.

This data is used only to run the game on your device. You can erase all of it at any time by using Reset all progress in the app’s Settings, or by uninstalling the app. Reset also deletes active case snapshots and any local playtest history.

Permissions

MathPlay requests no runtime permissions - no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, or network access.

Children’s privacy

The beta is designed for ages 14 and up. Because the app collects no data and makes no network requests, it does not gather personal information from players.

Third parties

There are no third-party services, SDKs, ad networks, or analytics providers in MathPlay. Nothing is uploaded. If you explicitly copy the optional playtest JSON, you control where that copied text goes outside the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here and the “Last updated” date above will change. Any change that materially affects your data (there currently is none) will also be noted in the app’s store listing.
