  2. 02Same Song, Louder
  3. 03The Nervous One
  4. 04Grandma's Lucky Streak
  5. 05The House Always Wins

Galton Board

One bead is a coin flip. A thousand make a shape. Work out whether someone has tampered with Skip’s pegs.

  1. 01Call the Bead
  2. 02More Beads, Same Heap
  3. 03The Wider World
  4. 04The Lean
  5. 05The Last Stand

On trial: single paths versus the overall shape and spread.

Vale’s stage

Chapter 3 · Host: Vale

Monty Hall

Vale opens a door and offers a switch. Generous, random, or a trap? Test the host across many doors before you decide.

  1. 01Three Doors
  2. 02More Doors
  3. 03Call Me Generous
  4. 04The Understudy
  5. 05Ten Doors

On trial: conditional probability and the host’s rules.

House rules

No internet permission

The Android app doesn’t request internet access, so it can’t send anything anywhere. You can play on a plane.

Nothing collected

The game has no account, analytics, or tracking. Your progress stays on your phone until you erase it.

No ads, timers, or paid hints

Nothing interrupts a case, and nothing is locked behind a purchase.

Reasoning beats luck

A sound theory earns credit even when the dice go against you. A lucky guess doesn’t.
